Register with us as a New Patient
Please check your postcode below and if appropriate collect your Registration Forms from Reception. We look forward to welcoming you to the Meads.
Live within our boundary area?
We welcome new patients to the surgery who reside within the catchment area. You can check if you are within our catchment area by entering your postcode below.
Named, allocated GP
All our patients have a named, allocated GP. These have been allocated alphabetically and you can find out who your named GP is by asking one of our reception staff. If you would like your named GP changed to reflect the GP that you normally see please ask and we can arrange that for you.
Please be aware that you do not only have to see your named GP, you are still free to choose to see whichever GP you wish. Please also be aware that if you have an urgent problem and you need to be seen on the day you will see the most appropriate member of the clinical team on duty that day.
Temporary residents
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one, you can be registered as an Immediately Necessary patient and receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for up to 14 days. Immediately Necessary patients would not normally need to provide ID and treatment will be for something the GP can deal with on a one off occasion. Please note this is not for ongoing issues. Following your appointment the clinician will decide if further registration is needed.
Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient although they do have an obligation to offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a Practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
